Long Lake Rowing Crew was launched in 2014 by a small group of passionate individuals who

wanted to bring the lifelong sport of rowing to the Orono and Long Lake communities. 

Founded as a 501(c)(3) non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, Long Lake Rowing provides aspiring and experienced rowers of all ages with unique opportunities to p

LLRC is committed to being an inclusive organization. We have created our Opportunity & Access to Rowing Fund (OARS) to provide financial assistance to all who wish to try the sport of rowing. Applications for assistance can be filled out and submitted for review. LLRC can

We welcome high school youth finishing

 8th grade - 12th grade. 

No Experience Required!

Our adult rowing programs offer a broad range of goals; from competing at regattas to fitness to simply rowing for the enjoyment of being on the water and gliding silently along. Our Masters might be athletes who rowed in college, but most have never rowed before! 

Our current Masters group ranges in ages from 26  to 72 years young!

If you have never rowed before, we invite you to take lessons first. Once you have gained skills and experience, you can discuss joining our Masters Team with a coach.  

*2025 registration is only open for rowers who rowed with LLRC in 2024.

We offer individual lessons to help you get out on the water to explore rowing and learn the basics! 

If you enjoy rowing, you can work towards joining our teams! 

*November: our season is now closed for lessons. Watch for updates in spring for when we start to offer lessons!

Juniors Spring Summer Team: Registration is Open

Our on the water season starts April 7th with indoor practice, until we have safe water and air temps.   Current athletes can register via their Boathouse Connect Account and new athletes can use the link below. 

Practices for April -June 5th: M-Th 4pm-5:45 pm, Sat 8:30-10 am

June 9-August 20:  Girls MWF 7:45am-9:30am, T/Th 9:30-11:15am

                                    Boys MWF 9:30-11:15am, T/Th 7:45-9:30 am

  • LLRC is a 501c3 allowing for acceptance of charitable financial  donations. You financial gifts can be tax deductible and we are happy to provide a tax receipt-letter for you. 
  • Check with your employer if they match employee giving; that way your donation can be doubled. Our EIN # is 46-4570016
  •  Our ongoing needs include: equipment replacement  & repairs and  our Opportunity & Access to Rowing financial aid program- helping others to row also, while removing financial barriers.
